Cream Crust operates in a category where split-second decisions are made in front of open freezer doors, often in low light and high competition. The brand needed a visual identity that could do three things at once: communicate the fun and flavour of every scoop, create instant shelf recognition and build a cohesive brand presence across multiple variants. The challenge was to design packaging that feels playful without becoming childish, vibrant without becoming chaotic and consistent enough to scale across future flavours.
Approach
We anchored the identity in three ideas: joy, indulgence and surprise. A retro-inspired typographic system, a bold and vibrant colour palette and illustrative elements that bring every flavour to life. The approach leaned into nostalgia with a modern twist, creating a visual language that feels familiar and fresh in equal measure, designed to catch the eye and spark curiosity.
Process
We began by mapping the core flavour range and brand personality to understand how the identity could feel cohesive across variants while allowing each flavour to shine. From there, we built the logo, defined the colour coding by flavour profile and extended the system across tubs, labels and promotional materials to ensure every touchpoint felt like an invitation to indulge.
